Hi, I'm Cheyenne
— a registered dietitian who loves the science of food, and knows that eating well is about so much more than just the food on your plate.
While finishing my degree in Molecular Biology and Biotechnology, there was a pull toward nutrition that I simply couldn't ignore — so I finished my studies and then enrolled to study a postgrad in Human Nutrition and Dietetics. What I found was something far richer than I'd expected.
Dietetics is so much more than telling you what to eat, creating a meal plan, and sending you on your way. Those tools have their place, but they're just the starting point. Lasting change — the kind that actually sticks — happens in the follow-up conversations, where we get to explore what's really going on. Because eating happens in the middle of real life — busy schedules, complicated relationships, long workdays, and a world that doesn't always make eating well easy. I see that it's complicated, and I'm not going to pretend a prescription fixes everything. That's exactly why I take the time to understand your world.
My career began with a community service year in the government sector in rural KwaZulu-Natal. That year taught what it means to meet someone where they are, and work with what they actually have.
After that I worked across various clinical settings, including private hospitals. All incredibly valuable — but in most of those environments, time with clients was limited. I found myself wanting more. Private practice gives me that — the chance to actually go on the journey with you, rather than see you once and send you on your way.
My interest in IBS grew from time spent working in mental health clinics, where I saw just how deeply the gut-brain connection shapes how people feel day to day. IBS is rarely straightforward — it's personal, unpredictable, and often misunderstood. That's exactly the kind of puzzle I want to help you solve!
